M5 Systems has a wide diversity of clients from government to property management, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail, medical and others. Some of our clients have very specific needs with regards to security and network monitoring, other clients in the medical field must comply with HIPAA regulations and other clients have basic needs for servers and workstations.
With one of our medical clients we have implanted many changes in the network and database design. They were using antiquated equipment so with our help we were able to get them on current technology and use virtualization to help consolidate some of their old servers. Through the use of some other products we were also able to help them implement a very cost effective email system which is used throughout the corporate office and their clinics. Since each of their clinics employ providers who use laptops and travel to the other clinics we also put in a place a secure wireless solution which is managed from their corporate firewalls.
At M5 Systems we don't necessarily use the philosophy of one solution for everything. There are many companies out there producing great products and there are many situations where leveraging those technologies to create a solution for a client can be a winning combination. We have done this at many of our clients, implementing several types of technologies to achieve a certain goal. When it comes to security this is especially true as having just one product in place from one vendor is not always desirable.
Because of the products we recommend and the multi-tier approach we use rarely has any of our cleints experienced down time to security breaches, viruses, spyware, etc. Our network monitoring tools allow us to be proactive and make sure systems are updated, virus signatures are updated, firewalls are not being breached and intrusions are not going un-noticed.
One of our oldest clients a property management company has implanted several technologies from a state of the art intrusion prevention system, Windows 2008R2 Server, remote VPN clients using SSL, branch office VPN to 4 offsite locations, database servers using Microsoft SQL, email servers and Windows 7 on the desktop. The company has some sophisticated needs and we were able to provide solutions to those needs using the best technologies available at an affordable price.
Many solutions don't even require a great deal of sophistication so we try to accommodate those needs as simply as possible. There is no reason to tackle a small problem with a million dollar solution. M5 Systems has the needs of the customer in mind and we make it a priority to meet those needs with the appropriate solution even though that solution might not be very profitable for us.
One of our clients is a mortuary with many different types of needs from email, collaboration and database management spread across several offices here the valley. Through the partnerships we have with Cox Communications we were able to implement a cost effective VPN solution using high speed business internet solutions. The client is able to share files, music, videos, etc. through their VPN solution at a fraction of the cost of a MPLS network with greater bandwidth and efficiency. Throughout the company and their remote sites additional domain controllers were deployed to help offset additional traffic traveling through the VPN. Greater redundancy was also accomplished this way with active directory components being stored on these separate servers.
